Electric Motors
Volkswagen Group Components offers several high-performance electric motors as featured in our popular ID Models. Applications as AWD, rear-, or front-drive are possible with peak power 150kW (rear) and 75kW (front).

Batteries and Cells
The Volkswagen Group has invested in specific in-house battery solutions from an early stage. The result is one of the most innovative and powerful battery systems in the industry. The wide application within Volkswagen Group brands, resulting volume and the cost-optimized battery design allow us to offer attractive prices directly to our platform customers.
A major advantage of our battery system is scalability: 7, 8, 9 or even 12 battery modules are possible, resulting in capacities from 48 – 82kWH and vehicle driving ranges from 330 to 550km (WLTP).

Internal Combustion Engines
Besides our electric motors, Volkswagen offers a broad range of internal combustion engines. Even as the world moves towards electric mobility, these engines still symbolize the original Volkswagen-virtues of quality, performance and efficiency.
Due to their broad application within the Volkswagen Group, resulting scale advantages are available to our platform customers in the form of highly attractive prices. Our ICEs portfolio range from 1.0 to 5.2 litres displacement and 91 to 600Nm torque.

Transmissions
Without right transmission, even the best engine is unlikely to achieve your performance objectives. Being some of the most important and technically complex parts in modern vehicles, our transmission solutions are an expression of the unparalleled finesse of our engineers.
Volkswagen Group Components offers our platform customers a broad portfolio of automatic, dual-clutch („DSG“) and classic manual transmissions. In order to always be able to guarantee competitive prices, we only offer transmission solutions from in-house production.

Axles
These essential components literally carry the vehicle, its driving performance and durability. The axle assemblies from our MEB allow for a maximum front load of either 1.070kg or 1.260kg, while the maximum rear load is either 1.260kg or 1.540kg with maximum permissible trailer towing load of 1400kg*.
Besides the MEB axle assemblies, Volkswagen also offers a broad range conventional ICE vehicle axles and suspension components. All of our axles guarantee optimized steering and handling conditions for an unparalleled driving experience.

Seat Structures
Finding the right seat has always been a central question in vehicle development. The seat functions as the main „interface“ between the vehicle and driver and when it comes to car seats, we closely work with our partners at Brose. Our joint center of competence for seat structures, Brose Sitech, offers a variety of structures for driver and passenger seats, as well as entire second and third seating rows.
